The Environment & Diversity Rotary E-Club will support other club programs, and focus on supporting Shelterbox and their impact on providing housing for those impacted and displaced by natural disasters.

East Hampton Food Bank

East Hampton Rotary will support the East Hampton Food Bank by updating and preparing the community garden for its Rotary Day of Service. The project will install a water system and other maintenance tasks. 

Paper Shredding Event 

Fairfield Rotary will hold a paper shredding event to raise funds for the community as a convenient way to discard of sensitive household papers and materials for its Rotary Day of Service.

Thomas Road Clean-up

Groton Rotary will clean up Thomas Road and bring together volunteers to clear debris from a trail in the Bristol Bird Sanctuary, so the town will have a clean and clear path to enjoying the trails during the spring and summer. 

Walking Trails Maintenance

Ledyard Rotary will provide maintenance on walking trails behind the Ledyard Senior Center for its Rotary Day of Service. Volunteers will repair stairs to access the path from the Senior Center. 

Waste Clean-up at Bittner Park

Guilford Rotary will assist the town of Guilford in recovering waste at Bittner park by helping with traffic direction and uploading vehicles for its Rotary Day of Service. The event will take place from 9 am to 3 pm.

Community Clothing Drive 

Madison Rotary will seek gifts of clean, gently used clothing items for delivery to organizations in need for its Rotary Day of Service, seeking volunteers to help with the collection, sorting and distribution of donations.

Community Clean-up

Middletown Rotary will host a cleanup for the Middlesex County Historical Society for its Rotary Day of Service. Clean up will take place around the Historical Society’s headquarters at the General Mansfield House. 

Flowers for Rehab Patients

Montville Rotary will work with the recreation department of a local rehabilitation center to create 90 floral arrangements to be distributed to the residents of the facility for its Rotary Day of Service project. 

Painting Soup Kitchen

Milford Rotary will bring the community together to upgrade and enhance the Milford Community Shelter by painting and cleaning up the local Soup Kitchen, the Beth-El Center, for its Rotary Day of Service.

Gardening at Nature Center 

Mystic Rotary will arrange a work group to clean up and enhance the Giving Garden at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center located at Coogan Farm in Mystic, Connecticut for its Rotary Day of Service.

Trail Clean-up & Beautification

New Canaan Rotary will clear debris from a trail at the Bristow Bird Sanctuary for its Rotary Day of Service project. Bristow Bird Sanctuary is the second oldest bird sanctuary in the US and is almost 100 years old. 

River and Wetlands Clean-up

Newtown Rotary will clean-up the environment with a project around the Pootatuck or Housatonic rivers and wetlands in collaboration with the local Boy Scouts for its Rotary Day of Service project. 

Clean-up at Camp Cedarcrest

New Haven Rotary will hold its annual spring clean-up project to help get the camp ready for community outings and the all-important summer camp program for youth as its Rotary Day of Service project.

“Niantic Day of Giving” 

Niantic Rotary will hold a ‘Niantic Day of Giving’ with a blood drive, Amber Alert Registration program, and a Food Drive in support of the local Niantic community for its Rotary Day of Service.

Home for the Brave

North Haven Rotary, in conjunction with the Trumbull Rotary and North Haven Interact, will be renovating a 3-family house to serve as transitional housing for homeless veterans for its Rotary Day of Service.

Norwich Sunrise will partner with Habitat for Humanity and help to build a home for a family in need, working alongside the local family recipient, to bring their dream home to reality for its Rotary Day of Service project.
