Egg Scramble Egg Hunt

Ridgefield Rotary will partner with Ridgefield Parks & Rec to hold an Egg Scramble egg hunt for children. Approximately 6,000 candy-filled eggs will be “hidden” in Ballard Park for its Rotary Day of Service. 

Forest Reserve Hiking Trails 

The Stoningtons Rotary will help build a bog/brook bridge and clean-up hiking trails for the town’s active community at the TriTown Forest Preserve in North Stonington for its Rotary Day of Service.

Reading to Children

Seymour-Oxford Rotary will hold a Story Time program for children and read books to children in the community at the Seymour Public Library and Oxford Public Library for its Rotary Day of Service.

Library Garden Beautification

Stratford Rotary will clean-up and beautify the Stratford Library Gardens by supporting the upkeep and expansion of this community treasure through the planting of flowers and trees at for its Rotary Day of Service.

Distribution of PPE

Wallingford Rotary will assist the Spanish Community of Wallingford (SCOW) with the preparation and distribution of 500 bags containing essential and safe PPE material for its Rotary Day of Service.

Food Drive to Help WHEAT 

West Haven Rotary will collect non-perishable food items to be brought to the West Haven Green and donated to the West Haven Emergency Assistance Task Force (WHEAT)for its Rotary Day of Service.

Community Baby Shower

Waterbury Rotary will hold a Community Baby Shower to collect Onesies, Diapers, Cribs and more for distribution to Waterbury Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Faith Haven and Caroline’s Place.

Clean-up Westport Day

Westport Rotary will join the Westport Parks and Recreation’s annual “Clean-up Westport Day” for its Rotary Day of Service. The cleanup takes place at Compo Beach and Skate Park, Hendrick’s Point Driving Range Area.

Town Gazebo Maintenance

Wilton Rotary will provide upkeep and general maintenance on the Town Gazebo, including landscaping, lattice painting work, board replacement and general cleaning for its Rotary Day of Service.

Clean-up at Camp Cedarcrest 

Yale Rotaract and New Haven Rotary will hold its annual spring clean-up project to get the camp ready for community outings and the all-important summer camp program for youth for its Rotary Day of Service project.

Racebrook Tract Land Preserve

Woodbridge Rotary will sponsor a birdwalk, clean up the parking area and entrance to the area and distribute bright blue Rotary logo bags to to conduct a neighborhood clean up for its Rotary Day of Service.

Avon-Canton Food Drive

Avon-Canton Rotary, along with the Canton High School Interact and the local Lions Club to collect items for the Avon-Canton Food Pantries in front of the Shop Rite Grocery Store in Canton for its Rotary Day of Service.

East Coast Greenway Clean-up 

East Hartford Rotary will conduct a trail clean-up of the East Coast Greenway which connects 15 states and 450 cities for its Rotary Day of Service, bringing together youth volunteers Rotarians and the community.

Hiking Trail Clean-up

Glastonbury Rotary will help enhance local hiking and walking trails by working with the town’s Parks and Rec Department to maintain and enhance many of the trails and plant two trees for its Rotary Day of Service.

Community Day of Service

Litchfield-Morris Rotary will take on two community projects for its Rotary Day of Service – build two benches for the town recreation areas, and hold a spring clean-up and paint entrance signs for the Bantam Falls Senior living facility. 

Community Garden

New Britain-Berlin Rotary is partnering with New Britain ROOTS and Jefferson Elementary School PTA to construct 6 raised community garden beds at Jefferson Elementary School for its Rotary Day of Service.

Monument Restoration

Plainfield Rotary will restore the town’s Tercentennial monument, which includes cleaning the monument, clearing brush that has overtaken some of the site, and repairing existing benches for its Rotary Day of Service.

Basic Needs Drive

New Milford Rotary will conduct a Basic Needs Drive collecting items not offered at the food bank, such as diapers, batteries, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and grocery gift cards for its Rotary Day of Service. 

Harvest Food Pack for Haiti

Plainville Rotary will work with the Bristol and Southington Rotary with a “Harvest Food Pack” for Haiti to pack a minimum of 10,000 meals and partnering with Harvest Food to orchestrating the food packaging. 

Tree Planting & Trail Clean-up

Rockville Rotary and the Public Works of Vernon, Ellington and Tolland will plant a tree in each town, and collaborate with the Tolland Chamber of Commerce to conduct a Spring Cleanup of the Rails to Trails hiking trail.

Easter Egg Hunt

Somers Rotary will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt to be held for the children of Somers. This traditional event brings the community together in fellowship, a major club focus, for its Rotary Day of Service.

Environmental Cleanup Day

Salisbury Rotary will conduct an Environmental Cleanup Day. The Club will collaborate with other organizations in the area to coordinate teams to volunteer in the six towns the club serves for its Rotary Day of Service. 

“Harvest Food Pack” for Haiti

Southington Rotary will work with the Bristol and Plainville Rotary with a “Harvest Food Pack” for Haiti to pack a minimum of 10,000 meals and partnering with Harvest Food to orchestrate the food packaging.

Clean-up at Sunrise Park

Suffield Rotary will work with youth and community volunteers to open trails at Sunrise Park, repoint the chimney in the pavilion and hold a general clean up under the supervision of the park superintendent.

Washington Rotary will work with community volunteers to clean-up town roads and support the community by planting squash at the Town of Washington’s Community Garden for its Rotary Day of Service.

Terryville Rotary will bring the Terryville community together and host a Plymouth Green Spring Clean-up Day to prepare the town for the beginning of the spring outdoor season for its Rotary Day of Service.

Watertown Rotary will engage Rotary’s newest area of focus, the environment, and bring the community together for a project that plants two trees around the new pavilion for its Rotary Day of Service.

Windsor/ Windsor Locks Rotary in partnership with the East Windsor Rotary and the Enfield Rotary will conduct a community food drive, serving all three communities for its Rotary Day of Service.

Wethersfield Rotary will engage Rotary’s newest area of focus, the environment, and seek the communities assistance to plant fruit trees and shrubs in the Rocky Hill Community Garden for its Rotary Day of Service.

Housing Authority Clean-up

Agawam Rotary will hold a cleanup/beautification of the Agawam Housing Authority with a goal to turn the space back into a fresh, multi-functional space to be used by the housing authority tenants.

Community Tree Planting 

Dalton Rotary will provide five local grammar schools with books addressing equity and inclusion as well as climate change. And, the project will include planting a tree on Arbor Day for its Rotary Day of Service.

 Not Bread Alone Foodbank

Amherst Rotary will help at the local food bank, Not Bread Alone where volunteers will prepare and family-style meals in a nurturing environment to relax, refuel, and connect with others for its Rotary Day of Service.

Town Beautification

Easthampton Rotary will hold a town beautification project that will bring together volunteers to work throughout the town to clean public areas, clear debris, and basically spruce up the town for its Rotary Day of Service.

Riverwalk Cleanup

Great Barrington Rotary will hold a cleanup with Great Barrington’s local Land Conservancy along the Housatonic Riverwalk, cleaning public areas and clearing debris to spruce up all areas for its Rotary Day of Service.

Tourist Booth Cleanup 

North Adams Rotary will hold a spring cleanup of the grounds around the North Adams Tourist Booth, as well as a clean up inside the tourist booth, in cooperation with the North Adams Office of Tourism.

YMCA Playground Clean-up

Holyoke Rotary will partner with the Greater Holyoke YMCA to resurface a playground for its daycare center, and plant trees in Holyoke, South Hadley, and Granby as part of Rotary new focus on the environment.

Community Tree Planting

Northampton Rotary Club will work with the Town of Northampton, area schools, and other community organizations to organize a tree planting event, in locations determined by the Town and school system.

Support Local Animal Shelter

Southwick Rotary will collect community donations at the Rotary Day of Service event for an important community asset which ensures the safety of the community in its support of the local animal shelter.

Westfield Theatre Group

Westfield Rotary will support the Westfield Theatre Group with the performance of “Big Fish.” The Community will help build scenery, serve as ushers, sell concessions, and more for its Rotary Day of Service.

Habitat for Humanity Build 

Springfield Rotary will partner with the Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity to host the build of a home for a family in need within the Springfield community for its Rotary Day of Service.

Community Outdoor Clean-up

Wilbraham-Hampden Rotary will orchestrate a clean-up of selected public parks, recreational areas or green spaces in the towns of Wilbraham and Hampden. The sites will be selected in collaboration with the town(s).
